Products and Product Advice

What products do you sell?

Our principal product collections include:

Product availability, sizes and lead times can vary.

Can you help me choose the right product?

Yes. Our team can help you consider appearance, dimensions, materials, practical requirements, site conditions and installation.

For trees and hedging, we can also advise on soil, light levels, ultimate size, privacy, seasonal interest and maintenance.

Send us photographs, approximate measurements and your postcode so that we can provide more relevant advice.

Are all your products displayed online?

Not always. Product availability, plant sizes and supplier ranges change throughout the year.

We may also be able to source alternative sizes, finishes or related products that are not currently displayed on the website.

Contact us if you need something specific or cannot find the right option online.

Do you offer bespoke or made-to-order products?

Some furniture, fire features, sculpture and other garden products may be available in bespoke sizes, materials or finishes.

Bespoke products are subject to supplier availability, individual quotations and longer lead times. Made-to-order and personalised products may also have different cancellation and returns conditions.

Do the product photographs show the exact colour?

We try to represent products accurately, but colours can vary between screens, lighting conditions, manufacturing batches and natural materials.

Natural stone, timber, metals and living plants will display natural variation. Porcelain and manufactured products may also vary slightly between production batches.

Where appearance is particularly important, speak to us about samples or current product information before placing an order.

Ordering and Payment

How do I place an order?

Products available through the online shop can be added to your basket and purchased through the website.

For larger products, specimen plants, installation projects or bespoke items, we may ask you to contact us before ordering. This allows us to confirm availability, access, delivery requirements and whether the selected product is appropriate.

Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

Website prices should indicate whether VAT is included.

Any separate quotation or proposal will explain the applicable price, VAT and other charges. Please check the order summary or quotation before accepting it.

What payment methods do you accept?

The payment methods available for online orders will be shown during checkout.

For installation work, bespoke orders or larger projects, the required payment stages will be explained in the quotation, order confirmation or applicable terms and conditions.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes. Online customers should receive an order confirmation using the email address entered during checkout.

Please check the information carefully, including the products, quantities, delivery details and contact information.

If you do not receive a confirmation, check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.

Can I amend an order after placing it?

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to amend an order.

Whether an amendment is possible will depend on whether the product has been ordered from the supplier, prepared for dispatch, personalised, made to order or allocated for delivery.

Additional costs may apply where an amendment creates extra supplier, delivery or administrative charges.

Can I cancel an order?

Cancellation rights depend on the product, how it was purchased and whether it is a standard, perishable, personalised or made-to-order item.

Living plants, bespoke products and goods made to a customer’s specification may be subject to different cancellation conditions.

Please read our Terms and Conditions of Supply and contact us promptly if you wish to cancel an order.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

Delivery areas depend on the product.

Some smaller products may be available for wider delivery. Large, heavy, fragile or living products may have a more restricted delivery area.

Professional delivery, planting and installation are primarily offered across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and surrounding parts of North West England.

Provide your full postcode before ordering if you are unsure whether delivery is available.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges depend on the product, order size, weight, delivery location and access requirements.

Where possible, the delivery cost will be displayed during checkout. For large products, paving, specimen trees, hedging or unusual access conditions, we may need to calculate the cost separately.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery times vary according to stock availability, suppliers, product type, season and delivery location.

The availability shown online should be treated as a guide unless a delivery date has been confirmed directly by our team.

Do not arrange independent installers or begin associated building work until the product and delivery date have been confirmed.

Will I receive a specific delivery time?

This depends on the product and delivery method.

Some deliveries may be allocated a date or approximate delivery window rather than an exact time. Traffic, weather, loading and earlier deliveries can affect arrival times.

We will provide the available delivery information when the order is arranged.

What access is required for delivery?

Customers must tell us about anything that could affect delivery, including:

  • Narrow roads or entrances.

  • Restricted parking.

  • Steep drives.

  • Steps or level changes.

  • Weight or height restrictions.

  • Locked gates.

  • Soft or unsuitable ground.

  • Limited turning space.

  • Long distances between the unloading point and the garden.

  • Overhead cables or branches.

  • Restricted delivery times.

Large plants, paving and heavy garden products may require specialist vehicles or mechanical unloading.

If you are uncertain, send photographs and measurements before delivery is arranged.

What happens if access is unsuitable?

If the delivery vehicle cannot access the agreed location safely, the delivery may have to be left at an alternative suitable point, rearranged or returned.

Additional delivery, handling, storage or redelivery charges may apply where access information was incomplete or inaccurate.

Please tell us about potential access difficulties before confirming the order.

Do I need to be present for delivery?

We will confirm whether someone needs to be present.

Large, valuable, fragile or living products should normally be checked when delivered. If delivery is accepted without someone present, the agreed safe location must be accessible and suitable.

Responsibility for unattended delivery arrangements will be explained when the delivery is organised.

What should I do when my order arrives?

Check the delivery as soon as reasonably possible.

Look for:

  • Missing items.

  • Incorrect products.

  • Visible damage.

  • Broken packaging.

  • Significant plant damage.

  • Discrepancies in quantity or size.

Record any concerns on the delivery paperwork where possible and take clear photographs before moving, installing or using the goods.

Contact us promptly so that we can investigate.

Supply and Professional Installation

Do you offer supply only?

Yes. Many products are available on a supply-only basis.

The customer is responsible for confirming measurements, quantities, suitability, access and installation requirements when purchasing supply-only products.

Ask us if you need help calculating quantities or selecting the most appropriate option.

Can you install the products you sell?

Do you need to visit the site before quoting?

A site visit may be necessary where the work involves installation, drainage, access restrictions, level changes or other site-specific considerations.

For an initial assessment, we may ask for:

  • Photographs.

  • Approximate dimensions.

  • Your postcode.

  • A description of the existing area.

  • Access information.

  • Plans or drawings, where available.

We will tell you whether a site visit is required and whether any assessment fee applies before arranging it.

What information should I send with an installation enquiry?

To help us assess your project, please include:

  • Your name and contact details.

  • The site address and postcode.

  • The product or service required.

  • Approximate dimensions or quantities.

  • Photographs of the site.

  • Photographs of the access route.

  • Details of steps, narrow entrances or parking restrictions.

  • Your preferred timescale.

Providing clear information at the beginning helps us determine the most appropriate next step.

Can you provide garden design as well as installation?

Yes. Landscaping Emporium is brought to you by Kirman Design, which provides professional garden design, planting design and landscaping services.

Design support may be particularly useful where the project involves several elements, complex levels or changes to the overall layout of the garden.

Contact our team to discuss whether a design service would be appropriate.

Trees, Hedging and Living Products

When is the best time to plant trees and hedging?

Container-grown plants can usually be planted throughout much of the year, provided the ground is workable and the plants can be watered properly.

Bare-root and rootballed plants are seasonal products and are generally supplied during the dormant planting season.

Weather, ground conditions, species and availability can affect the exact planting period.

What is the difference between bare-root and rootballed hedging?

Bare-root plants are lifted from the nursery without soil around their roots. They are normally available during the dormant season and can provide a cost-effective option for longer hedges.

Rootballed plants are lifted with soil retained around the root system and secured with hessian and wire. They are often available in larger sizes and can create a more immediate effect.

Our hedging FAQs provide more detailed information.

Can you plant the trees and hedging for me?

Yes, professional planting is available in selected areas.

Planting can include appropriate excavation, soil preparation, staking or anchoring, securing the plants and initial watering. Irrigation, mulch and associated work can also be quoted where required.

Ongoing watering and aftercare remain essential after planting.

Are plants guaranteed?

Living plants require appropriate handling, planting, watering and ongoing care.

Any guarantee or replacement terms will depend on whether we supplied only or also planted the material, the product involved and whether the required aftercare has been followed.

The applicable conditions will be explained in the quotation, order information or terms of supply.
